At StandOUT Youth Mentoring Program INC., we are dedicated to serving middle and high school youth in Northwest Houston. Our program is designed to provide them with the guidance and support they need to thrive and make meaningful choices for a brighter future.
Our Approach: The 4 P’s – Purpose, Principles, Planning, Progress
At StandOUT, we follow a four-step approach called the 4 P’s: Purpose, Principles, Planning, and Progress. Through this framework, we guide our youth towards discovering their purpose, building a foundation of strong principles, setting attainable goals through planning, and continuously making progress towards their dreams.
Peer Mentorship for Lasting Impact
Our program is built on the power of peer mentorship. We pair middle and high school youth with mentors who are at least three years older, creating a dynamic support system that fosters growth, understanding, and lifelong connections.
Weekly Sessions at the MI3 Center
Every Tuesday from 5 PM to 7 PM, our youth and mentors gather at the MI3 Center for two hours of transformational mentoring and recreational activities. The first hour is dedicated to one-on-one mentoring sessions, where our mentors provide guidance, support, and a listening ear to help our youth navigate challenges and seize opportunities. The second hour is a time for free play and camaraderie on the court, fostering friendships and teamwork.
