StandOUT provides one-on-one mentoring and peer mentoring to teens ages 13-17. We redirect the trajectory of the lives of young people towards success, by providing support, role models, guidance, and life-skills.

StandOUT Youth Mentoring Program is a mentorship program for youth ages 13-17, with a focus on goal-setting and goal tracking. Goal setting and tracking is a tool that encourages youth to focus on academic and personal success and assists in building strong decision making skills.

Mentoring can provide young people with positive role models, guidance, and support that can help them navigate their personal and academic challenges. It can also help to improve self-esteem, academic performance, and overall well-being.

A parent can register their youth for StandOUT by clicking ‘Get Involved’ in the menu and selecting Youth Participant Application. Someone will call you to finish your enrollment. 

StandOUT utilizes peer-mentors, an older success-driven and accomplished teen, who acts as a role model and support system to help their mentees accomplish success. Anyone who meets this qualification and is currently a a high-school junior through college freshman can apply.

We meet 8 times during the first semester and 8 times during the second semester, on Tuesdays at the MI3 Center from 5-7PM

Sign-in begins at 4:45. A meal is served promptly at 5PM. At 5:35 mentors will meet with their mentee for mentee and me time. Games and activities begin at 6:15 PM. Pick-up starts at 6:50 PM.
